prelestNina is a Heartrender, which means she has a gnarly set of powers! She's able to do the following ethically dubious things:
Affect others emotionally. Nina can spike or lower heartrates to amp up or lower anxiety, and she can manipulate brain chemistry to steer people's emotions in a certain direction. Note that this is a temporary state, lasting no more than a minute, and hormone manipulation will require direct physical contact.
Detect physical manifestations of emotions. She can do things like intuit when someone might be lying based on their heartrate or tell when someone is angry from their blood pressure.
Affect others physically. Nina can also affect others' biology by doing things like damaging internal organs, disabling muscles, and even stopping hearts. Gross! But she can also ease pain and discomfort and do some limited healing.
Tailor appearances. She can bring about limited changes to others' appearances through Tailoring. This is generally limited to subtle changes (tweaks to natural features). It takes a while and will eventually go back to how it originally looked.
What I'd like from you is to know the following:

If your character sees Nina's powers, will they freak out because it looks like blood magic?: Redvers yes, Wolfram probably (if it’s one of the things that’s especially blood-magicky) but unlikely to cause trouble, Bastien won’t like it but will be down to talk about what it actually is instead of freaking out, Xiomara will be fine.

On the off-chance your character get into a scuffle with Nina, can she use her powers offensively on your character?: Blanket yes if it's something temporarily disabling, but please check in if it's something they'll need time to recover from!
If your character sees Nina's powers, will they freak out because it looks like blood magic?: Cosima is chill; Julius will probably be a little freaked out and will have some personal feelings, but isn't going jump directly to reporting her or taking action; Vanya has formerly decided rifters don't count in order to avoid cognitive dissonance, though it may make him reluctant to trust her.

Can Nina use her power to affect your character(s) emotionally?: I think we should talk about it if it comes up because Eli doesn't have normal person emotions! He also was completely controlled by someone at home and forced to do whatever she wanted (he was aware it was happening) so I think he would recognise what was going on. Whether that gives him the ability to actually resist, welllllll we'll see?

Probably yes; again, he doesn't really feel normal human emotions bc he's a psychopath but that could be really interesting for her to learn? I'm just a little wary of it bc I don't want everyone to know that about him right off ykwim

If your character sees Nina's powers, will they freak out because it looks like blood magic?: No, HOWEVER, he is a serial killer who thinks that powers are Unnatural (despite having them himself, it is a Whole Thing) so he will probably secretly be like "wow maybe I should kill this woman." Whether he actually tries or not is another question, but it will definitely give him an unfavourable opinion of her at first, I'm so sorry about him he's completely awful

Can Nina use her power to affect your character(s) emotionally?: Yes! Ellie may or may not notice something wonky, while Jude will be very sensitive to any changes in his emotional state that he didn't authorize.

Can Nina use her power to affect your character(s) physically (e.g., easing pain, nausea, etc.)?: You bet
On the off-chance your character get into a scuffle with Nina, can she use her powers offensively on your character?: Unlikely but hell yeah, as long as it's not something permanently disabling or disfiguring.
If your character sees Nina's powers, will they freak out because it looks like blood magic?: Ellie is fine with blood magic as long as it doesn't delve into the realm of unwilling sacrifice, so she's generally good. She won't mind Nina's powers being used to benefit her, but will resent anything that feels like a loss of her own free will. Jude comes from a place where these powers are prized but potentially very dangerous. It'll be a plus for him unless she blatantly abuses them in his presence.
